WHAT NOW? TOUR
- 2 February Suntec Convention Centre Hall 601-604, Singapore
Live Nation Lushington is proud to present one of the biggest stars in stand-up comedy today. KEVIN HART will perform live in Singapore for the very first time. The American actor/ comedian will bring his WHAT NOW? Tour to the Suntec Convention Centre Hall 601-604 on 2 February 2016.
Tickets will be available via all Sistic channels from 22 October (Thursday) 10am onwards. Ticket prices start from S$98.
Hart has continued to work non-stop and in 2015 Kevin can be seen in two movies and on the road for his What Now Comedy tour. His recent movie projects include Screen Gem’s The Wedding Ringer and Get Hard, opposite Will Farrell. The consummate worker, Hart is also a force in television, Executive Producing the show, Real Husbands of Hollywood which premiered its third season last September.
In 2016 Kevin will be seen in the much-anticipated Ride Along 2, the sequel to last year’s one-hundred-million-dollar blockbuster hit of the same name. Hart will also appear in the highly anticipated action comedy Central Intelligence, opposite Dwayne Johnson, as well as the animated film PETS. Rounding out the year, Universal Pictures will release the What Now concert Film. In addition to film, Kevin will be embarking on a multi-city international live tour, What Now, following his highly successful domestic tour of the same name.
Kevin’s work ethic translate into big numbers as well for studios, as his movies for Screen Gems alone have now grossed a quarter of a billion dollars worldwide with budgets of under $75 million. Proving this is no fluke, Hart’s determination and success is simply a roll-over from a banner 2013 and ‘14 where he starred in Grudge Match for Warner Brothers, opposite Sylvester Stallone and Robert DeNiro, About Last Night, the Chris Rock directed Top Five and Think Like a Man Too, the sequel to its enormously successful predecessor, for Screen Gems. Kevin also released a feature version of his comedy show Let Me Explain.
Hart began his career sizing men and women for footwear, when a chance, electrifying performance at amateur night in a Philadelphia comedy club changed his life. Kevin quit his shoe salesman job and began performing full time at such venues as The Boston Comedy Club, Caroline’s, Stand-Up NY, The Laugh Factory, and The Comedy Store in Los Angeles. However, it was his first appearance at the “Montreal Just for Laughs Comedy Festival” that led Kevin into roles in feature films such as Paper Soldiers, Scary Movie 3, and Along Came Polly opposite Ben Stiller and Jennifer Aniston.
In 2012, Hart hosted the 2012 MTV VMA’s, garnering much industry praise for his appearance, before his next comedy tour, "Let Me Explain" took him to 90 American cities along with Europe and Africa. Records have not withstood under his LME tour either, as Kevin became only the second American in history to sell out London’s O2 Arena.
In September 2011 Hart released "Laugh At My Pain," the feature film version of his comedy tour (under the same name). The movie grossed over $7 million, and was 2011’s most successful film of those released in less than 300 theaters. The LAMP tour was so successful, it catapulted Hart to 2011’s number one comedian on Ticketmaster, and in February, 2011, he sold out the Nokia Theater for two nights in a row, breaking the record previously set by Eddie Murphy. This lead to the LAMP DVD hitting double platinum in February 2012, after being on sale for only a month.
Hart’s previous film credits include Little Fockers with Robert DeNiro and Ben Stiller, Death at a Funeral, Fool’s Gold and The 40 Year Old Virgin.
In 2009, Hart’s one-hour Comedy Central special I’m A Grown Little Man became one of the highest rated specials for the network, and in 2010, Hart’s DVD Seriously...Funny was one of the fastest selling DVDs, going triple Platinum, aided by and the Comedy Central special of the same name, which was the highest rated comedy special of 2010.
Hart’s other television credits include, hosting BET’s classic stand-up comedy series Comic View: One Mic Stand, ABC’s The Big House, which he also executive produced and wrote, and recurring roles on Love, Inc, Barbershop, and Undeclared. Hart can currently be seen with David Beckham in H&M‘s new Autumn 2015 campaign. With his passion for stand-up and entertainment, Hart continues to tour the country to sold-out audiences.
